Archive formats differ in compression, encryption, metadata and compatibility. Archiwum first detects the format from its signature and only then selects a local engine.
Safe workflow
- Keep the original file unchanged.
- Inspect the entry list and warnings.
- Select only the files you need.
- Verify the downloaded result or checksum.
Privacy
The operation runs in your browser. File names and contents are not sent to our own server.
Common mistake
Changing an extension does not convert file contents. Archive conversion requires extraction and creation of a new archive.
